October is always one of the busiest months in the alternative and metal music scene. With so many incredible bands hitting the road, it can be tough to keep track of who’s playing and where. No need to worry! We’ve done the hard work for you, and put together a list of the hottest alt music gigs happening this month. Whether you’re into hardcore breakdowns, melodic metalcore, or theatrical rock, there’s something for everyone.

Here’s a breakdown of the must-see acts:

Beartooth

Known for their energy on-stage and Caleb’s impressive performance as frontman, Beartooth never disappoints live. Playing shows across the UK and EU, including venues like Ally Pally and Victoria Warehouse, these are not shows to be missed. We’re expecting big things of the big venues! Joining them will be supporting performances from Polaris and Landmvrks.

The Ghost Inside

Long-standing pillars of the alternative scene, The Ghost Inside are back on tour and ready to deliver. Their shows are always packed with emotion and power. Supporting them are Boundaries, riding high from the hype of their latest album, and the always-entertaining Gideon. This tour is guaranteed to be a standout.

Alice Cooper

Looking for something a little more mainstream? Head to an arena near you in October to catch the godfather of shock rock, Alice Cooper. Expect the unexpected at an Alice Cooper show—pyrotechnics, guillotines, and plenty of gothic glam. If you haven’t seen him live yet, now’s the perfect time before it’s too late.

Skindred

Skindred's live shows are a party like no other. Blending reggae, metal, and punk, their unique "ragga metal" sound is so much fun, you won’t stop dancing! Even if you’re not familiar with their songs, their concerts are all about fun. Singalongs, dancing, and an unforgettable atmosphere are guaranteed—and don’t forget to bring a spare t-shirt. You’ll find out why once you’re there!

Sum 41

Pop-punk legends Sum 41 are embarking on their final UK tour, so if you’re a fan, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to catch them. Whether you’ve been following them since the 2000s or just recently discovered their hits, this show will be an emotional rollercoaster. Expect nostalgia, high-energy pop-punk, and a night you won’t forget—with support from The Bronx.

Biffy Clyro

If you’re a die-hard Biffy Clyro fan then this tour is NOT one to miss. The band is playing six exclusive UK shows, where they’ll perform their first three studio albums in full: Blackened Sky, The Vertigo of Bliss, and Infinity Land. It’s a dream setlist for longtime fans, plus a chance to hear other gems from their back catalog.

Cradle of Filth

Cradle of Filth kicks off their ‘By Order Of The Dragon’ tour on October 27, starting at Bristol’s O2 Academy. With a dramatic take on black metal, Cradle of Filth delivers a dark and theatrical show like no other. Don’t miss them at iconic venues like London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town, or catch them at Manchester’s Damnation Festival for even more bang for your buck.

Black Veil Brides & Creeper

This show might be a dream come true for the alt goths. Black Veil Brides and Creeper, both known for their theatrical style and devoted fanbases, are the perfect pairing and will be performing for one night only at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on Devil’s Night. We couldn’t think of a spookier combo if we tried.

Outbreak Autumn

Following the success of their summer festival, Outbreak returns this autumn with a one-day event of the best bands in hardcore, pop-punk and emo right now. Featuring bands like The Story So Far, Speed, Citizen, and Fleshwater, this is the place to be for emo and hardcore fans. If you’re near Manchester, head to Bowlers Exhibition Centre for a day of energetic performances and two-stepping. And make sure to not dwell on stage too long when TSSF are playing..iykyk.

Guilt Trip

Hailing from Manchester, Guilt Trip is rapidly gaining momentum in the hardcore scene. Their raw, aggressive sound is perfect for intimate venues, where the crowd energy can match the band's intensity. With support from Foreign Hands and Rough Justice, this tour offers a chance to catch them in smaller venues before they blow up.

SOFT PLAY

Formerly known as Slaves, SOFT PLAY delivers gritty punk rock with an edge. Their music is raw, unpolished, and their live shows have a sense of urgency that keeps fans on their toes. If you’re looking for pure punk that gets you moving, this is one to have on your radar.

October is stacked with alt and metal gigs that you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re into the heavy riffs of Beartooth, the nostalgic anthems of Sum 41, or the haunting theatrics of Alice Cooper and Creeper, this month offers something for every kind of alternative music fan. So grab your tickets, grab your favorite band tee (from Damaged Society of course), and prepare for a busy month of live music!
